LL Cool J Does Damage Control, Says Rumors of Divorce Couldn't Be Further From The Truth

James Todd Smith (LL COOL J) Has been on the receiving end of the latest rumors of divorce between he and his wife of 14 years, Simone.

When the rapper, turned actor, stopped by the OK! offices on Monday morning, they asked him about the nasty online rumors that there's trouble in his marriage to his wife Simone. And the 40-year-old star said those reports couldn't be further from the truth.

"I promise you, I’m not breaking up," he told OK!. "Kill that rumor."

So what about the photos of him out and about without a wedding ring?
"To be honest with you, I’m getting my wedding ring upgraded,"
explained LL (Yeah Okay LL), who just celebrated his 14th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7. "I’m getting it hooked up... She’s going to get hers upgraded too."

LL and his wife have been together for years. She stood by his side through all of his cheating and sexing groupies so I can't see why she would let him go now. I hope that it isn't true but It has been my experience that rumors get started because of something. If they do end up divorcing somewhere down the line, I won't be surprised...will you?

It's certainly not reminiscent of Krs One's "SouthBronx" or Ja Rule's "Newyork, New York". Even with the added rap presence of some oh Hip Hops finest, Ummm No, Try again LL.

LL Cool J Honored By UniverSoul Circus

LL took his daughters Samaria, 12 and Nina,7 to see the UniverSoul Circus Saturday Night at Roy Wlkins Park in Jamaica NY. where he was honored for being an outstanding leader along with NY State Senator Malcom Smith. They should've added "Cool Dad" to the mix as LL also brought his girls into the ring with him while he accepted his award!

LL gets a new Act

LL Cool J Signs First Act to his Platinum Harvest Music Label

LL Cool J has signed an unknown 15 year old female rapper named Nicolette and he thinks she will be the next big thing.

Nicolette will also the first act to join LL's new Platinum Harvest music label and speaking of her potential, he says:

"I would put her on a record with anybody and see what they think as far as competition. She's unbelievable. She's a star, not just somebody spitting bars in my face... She can rap... She's the truth."

LL Cool J is hoping to have the same success with the young MC as he did when he introduced Foxy Brown to the hip-hop world, on his hit song I Shot Ya hit.
