New Houston Rocket, Ron Artest Does Entire Interview in Profile due to Missing Tooth

The Houston Rockets' newest superstar, forward Ron Artest, arrived at Bush Intercontinental Airport on Tuesday afternoon. 

Artest agreed to interview with sports reporters on Tuesday as he made a visit to town.

 As part of the agreement, the photographers had to shoot him from the side because he recently had a tooth knocked out. 

Ron went through the entire impromptu press conference with a profile shot. Artest was in town to undergo a physical, which is required as part of the trade that brought Artest to Houston from Sacramento, and to look for a place to live.

That's the epitome of vanity but I guess I can't blame him. No one wants to be on Naional Television toothless. LOL

Boston Celtic champ Ray Allen finally married his long time love, Shannon Walker Williams in a posh private ceremony on Martha’s Vineyard this past weekend.

Allen, 33, who has been engaged to Shannon, also 33, for five years, exchanged vows with his beaming bride at a rented waterfront estate in front of a small group of family and friends. The couple’s three kids, Tierra, Ray III and Walker, were front and center along with a special guest the Larry O’Brien Championship trophy that the Celtics won when they put tha spanking on the LosANgeles Lakers.

The NBA star and his bride were serenaded by Grammy nominee Brian McKnight, who sang his hit “Never Felt This Way” as Shannon walked down the aisle, the very same song with which Ray had proposed.

The bride wore a white fitted Melissa Sweet gown and veil, while the groom looked dashing in a white suit, blue-and-white striped tie and a violet orchid in his lapel.

Allen and Shannon, a Middlebury, Conn., native, met when Ray was a basketball star at the University of Connecticut.

As you all know by now, Nets investor and music executive Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter represented the Nets at the NBA Draft Lottery yesterday at the studios of NBA Entertainment in Secaucus, NJ. Unfortunately his presence didn't bring any luck for his team as the Chicago Bulls who had a 1.7% chance of getting first pick,ended up winning the first overall draft pick for the 2008 NBA Draft, which will be held in New York City at The WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, June 26, 2008.

We hear Congratulations are in order for Allen and his Wife Tawanna who is said to be expecting their 5th, yeah that's right, count 'em... 1,2,3,4,5, child together.

Allen, stated that At 32, he's too old for the spectacle. "I've got four kids and one on the way. I'm the coach in that house," he said "If I'm not setting a good example, then I'm failing as a father. That's the last thing I'd want to do is fail my kids."

Granted, we aren't 100% sure that said baby is by his wife but knowing Tawanna's crazy ass, If he is saying it in public, it better be or she is liable to cut his dick off.

Laila Ali and Hubby Expecting

Laila Ali and her husband, former NFL star Curtis Conway, are expecting their first child together, she confirms exclusively to Essence magazine.

"I don't know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I'm excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created," Ali says in the May issue, which hits newsstands April 11.

The boxing champ, who co-hosts American Gladiators, and Conway married last July in the rose garden of the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey, Calif.

Among the 200 guests were Laila's parents, Muhammad Ali and Veronica Porsche Anderson, along with her sister Hana Ali, who was a bridesmaid.

This is the first child for Ali and the fourth for Conway, who has twin sons, Kelton and Cameron, 13, and a daughter Leilani, 9.

"I am 100 percent undeniably happy," Ali tells ESSENCE. "I've never been able to say that before."

Ali, 30, and Conway, 37, met at his house, when he hosted a small get-together, which Ali attended with a friend. The pair became engaged on Thanksgiving 2006.

Shortly after their wedding, Ali told PEOPLE that married life was "excellent."

"My husband and I are best friends," she said. "We have great communication and we respect each other."
