Former Tennessee Congressman Harold Ford Jr. won't be making any more top bachelor lists.

Former Tennessee Congressman Harold Ford Jr. Says "I DO"



Ford was married over the weekend in Florida to the former Emily Threlkeld of New York.

Ford, 37 and his 27-year-old bride were married at Trinity Cathedral Episcopal Church in Miami on Saturday.

Around 300 guests, including the elite of Memphis and Washington, gathered at Miami’s Trinity Cathedral Episcopal Church Saturday to witness the nuptials The lavish ceremony included a total of 26 attendants for the bride and groom.

The bride, is a fashion designer and stepdaughter of former Morgan Stanley Chairman Anson Beard. While the Harold, represented the 9th Congressional District in Memphis for 10 years before resigning in 2006 to run for the U.S. Senate. He lost a tight race to Republican Bob Corker. Since the senate race, Ford has worked as chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council, as a visiting professor of public policy at Vanderbilt University and for Merrill Lynch. He has not said if he plans to run for another political office.
