Usher's Wife Tameka Released From Hospital After Coma


Usher's wife Tameka Foster has left hospital in Brazil.

Foster, 38, checked into the Sao Rafael Hospital on Feb. 6 for a "simple liposuction," Ellen Dastry, spokeswoman for plastic surgeon Silvio Stermanm, told the Associated Press last week.

Foster went into cardiac arrest while being anesthetized, "but was revived in less than a minute by heart massage," Dastry adds. She was then placed in an induced coma before being taken to the intensive-care unit, a procedure Dastry said was "absolutely normal" and performed in order to "avoid unnecessary complications."

She was then transferred to Sirio-Libanes Hospital, considered one of the best in Brazil.

Tameka was released from the Sirio-Libanes Monday night, a spokesman said. At the family's request, no further details were available from the medical facility. Usher's rep had no comment.

Hopefully Tameka will realize how close she actually came to dying. After what happened to Kanye's mom, I hope Tameka has realized that if she wants to lose a couple of extra pounds, she needs to do it the old fashioned way instead of going for the quick fix.

Usher poured the lucky fan a glass of champagne and then fed her. He later allowed the lucky gal to grind and bump and hump all over him. The fan , who definitely wasn't shy, decided to take advantage of her opportunity and even take it a little further and and show him her skills when her head went dangerously low into his lap . Now I'm all for giving the fans what they want and putting on a great show but dayum. We all heard the rumors of the breakup with Tameka but you do have another baby on the way and youl are not divorced YET! If it were me and Usher was my man, My azz would've been all over that stage and that chick. how dare she try to push up on my bank roll, I mean man!

HILL HARPER: In the last year, you got married and you’ve had a baby. Which has changed you more?

USHER: They’re both linked—I can’t have one without the other. But the one thing that changed me the most is having a wife. Our child is an extension of that union.

HARPER: Why?

USHER: Because now I represent what he is to become. He’s gonna admire me, he’s gonna look up to me. He’s gonna say, “I wanna be”—or he should say— “I wanna be like my father. I wanna be a man of valor. I wanna possess what my father has as a man.” To get married was a choice. To have a child is a responsibility.

On Fatherhood:

“He’s gonna admire me, he’s gonna look up to me. He’s gonna say, ‘I wanna be’ or he should say - ‘I wanna be like my father.”

His Marriage:

“They think that it was forced. I’ve heard a lot of comments like, “Oh, she trapped him.” “He got a baby by her, and then she’s married and she’s set for life.” “No. She wasn’t pregnant when I asked her to marry me. There’s some sort of huge conspiracy over this, the fact that I made these choices in my life. No I grew older. As a man, I have to take responsibility and take a hold of my life. I’m accountable for what happens to my life now.”

What’s changed for Usher? He’s a dad now, a husband and stepfather to three more kids. Nevertheless, he’s a star, and the Apollo audience was proof enough. Mostly female, his adoring, screaming fans were almost falling out of the Apollo’s balconies as they sang along with every one of Usher’s old hits like "Yeah" and "U Remind Me."

Usher recently sat down with Parlour Magazine to talk about his upcoming album, his family life and his haters.

The 29 year old R&B superstar will drop his new album "Here I Stand" on May 27.

When asked how his fatherhood affected his music on the new album, he said, "This album, to me, is a staple in time. I like to make music about where I am, but I also try to make records that will be like soundtracks to life. So that people will be able to relate to them, maybe one day grow from them, learn, love from ‘em. This one particularly is more special than all of the others. I know it sounds cliché to say that! But honestly it’s the pivotal moment for me as an artist, as well as a husband in a way, and a father. These are all new journeys for me, the most meaningful, because they’re the most rewarding."

Parlour: Where’ve you been hiding?
Usher: I need you to miss me [he smiles]. If I stay in your face all the time you’ll get tired of seeing me. I went to Broadway (Chicago, the musical), did a movie. I had a label and still do. But when I’m in another area of entertainment I’m missing what I do the most. So I’ll be on stage playing Billy Flynn but singing records that I came up with or doing new dance choreography. Or if I’m on the set and supposed to be in character, I’m somewhere off in the corner singing and dancing.

P: How has your marriage and fatherhood affected your music?

P: How exactly have you grown?
U: The knowledge that rests in the mistakes slowly but surely become wisdom, so that’s really the process that I’m going through as a man. Where I stand as a husband, as a father, as an individual, as a businessman, is all a testimony to what I’ve been through and where I’ve been.

P: How does “Love in This Club” fit into that?
U: “Love in This Club” is the position that I was in about two years ago and as a result of having that record, there’s a series of events that will happen.

P: Talk about the title track, “Here I Stand.” I heard some things about it…
U: It’s an intimate conversation that a young man has with his woman when he says, “I know it’s hard for you to believe that you’re the only one for me.” This is the set-up before a man says, “I’m standing here with you.”

P: And some of the other tracks?
U: “Something Special” is about the feeling of finding love for the first time. When you finally decide to really take a relationship to the next level and be serious it’s something that you don’t back away from. Even if you try to escape it, you can’t find a way to get out of it. It’s got to be something special. And a lot of times when you find that thing, other people may not believe in it. Other people may be against it. Other people may not understand it. But it’s you and that person against the world, and that’s really the attitude and the position you have to take.

P: Which song do you identify with the most?
U: Well, I identify with all of the records to be honest with you. But “Before I Met You” is one of the songs that I instantly identify with. I’ll just tell you some of the hook: “I was a hustler and a player before I met you. I tricked a little something, hit a little something before I met you. How you made a difference, what I been missing, I got my life together and I’ll thank you forever. I really used to go all out before I met you. Had a new one every night and sometimes I had two. But all of that done changed, my games, my frame of mind you got it right and I’ll love you for life.” It’s what I think a young man is, before he decides to become a real man.

P: Last words?
U: I love my son and I love my wife and they’re the supporting foundation of what I’m doing. I love my fans—I thank y’all so, so much for coming back to the party with me. For all you haters, sorry we back on top. [Laughs] For those of you that doubted it for a minute I’m really sorry for you, but this is definitely going to be a reward for those who’ve been waiting, rooting and supporting and I’m not gon’ let you down. I promise. ~p~

I guess she figures with all the years she invested, birthing 3 babies, and all the BS she udoubtedly had to put up with from Mr Diddy andhis cheating azz. she may as well hold out because she ain't about to let another Bish get a hold of him and possibly get HER ring.  I just hope she is making him work hard as hell to win her back!
