R&B Diva Jill Scott Expecting Her First Child
Three time Grammy winner and Philadelphia native Jill Scott is expecting her first child with Fiance and drummer John Roberts. Jill discovered she was pregnant only days before leaving for Botswana Africa (where she spent her entire first trimester). She is filming her new HBO series show No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, based on novels by Alexander McCall Smith.
Jill says "The first trimester I spent in Botswana. That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You’re sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days. My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it."
The couple are expecting their bundle of joy on April 25th. No wedding date is set as of yet.

Baby Alert: Mariah Carey Pregnant?
Life & Style Magazine is reporting that Mariah carey could possibly be pregnant.
Mariah Carey’s biggest fan was on hand as the 39-year-old pop diva performed at the 15th CLSA Investors’ Forum in Hong Kong on Sept. 25. “She was with her husband, Nick Cannon, and they were laughing, kissing, holding hands,” says an onlooker, who caught the couple arriving at the airport. “You could tell they were newlyweds.”
The onlooker couldn’t help but notice something else, too: “Mariah looked great, but she seemed to have put on a few pounds. Maybe she’s pregnant — or at least planning on it!”
A friend of Mariah’s says the star and Nick are definitely trying: “They’ve been trying during their travels, and Mariah has seen her ob-gyn several times recently in California, and not just for checkups. She’s talking to her doctor about pregnancy and what to expect.”
I'll have to see this one to believe it but at 39, Mariah is no spring chicken so if she s planning on becoming a mother, she better do it soon.
