The Chaka Khan 3rd Annual "I Believe" Gala

Patti LaBelle, Wynona Judd, Kenny Lattimore,Chante' Moore, and Holly Robinson Peete are just a few of chaka's friends who came out to support her with her 3rd annual "I Believe" Gala. "This is all about my kids and your kids and our future. We're going to do the best we can for these children, empowering them, because that is my heart's virtue, to empower the innocent." Chaka told an exclusive audience Sunday night. The singer explained that the funds raised were going towards two initiatives,

"We have two initiatives - one is autism, the other one, which right now we are working tirelessly on, is education." The Singer said.

"We have taken children from inner city schools at fifth grade and we're empowering them and sticking with them for six years until they go onto college. We're showing them the world, letting them know they are earthlings first and that the world belongs to them and they can do anything they can possibly think of."

Chaka says she's using her fame to give back to communities.
