Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony was arrested this morning on suspicion of driving under the influence.Anthony was arrested at about 4 a.m. on Interstate 25 after Denver Police officers pulled him over for weaving between lanes and failing to dim his lights.
Anthony failed several field-sobriety tests, was ticketed and released at the scene. A call to the Denver Police seeking comment wasn't immediately returned.
The Nuggets issued a statement today saying they were aware of the situation. "We are currently gathering information and we will have no further comment at this time,'' said Mark Warkentien, the team's vice president of basketball operations.
